Two days dedicated to folklore and discovering traditions await you, whether in singing, dancing or folk crafts.

CREATIVE WORKSHOPS

Creative workshops in cooperation with the Central Slovak Educational Center Banská Bystrica will introduce children from Bystrica elementary schools to working with leather, thread or clay. In addition to demonstrations of these crafts, they will also be able to participate in active workshops, where they will be able to make souvenirs and try this craft in practice. A total of approximately 180 children will be involved in the creative workshops.

ŠTEFAN ŠTEC WITH FAJTA

Friday evening, as is usual at the event Discovering Tradition Through Customs, is dedicated to fusion - connecting the past with the present, the original with the modern.

This time it will be a truly exceptional fusion, as the invitation was accepted by the famous Ruthenian singer Štefan Štec with the band Fajta, whom the public knows as a finalist on the TV show Zem spieva. And together with him, during his concert, the equally talented fashion designer Michaela Hubert - known under the fashion brand Fake Folk - will present her art to us. She is a fashion designer and artist from the region, who draws inspiration from folk clothing and its ornaments. We are very much looking forward to this connection. We believe that the resounding name, but especially the voice of Štefan Štec, will attract all enthusiasts of this genre.
